DO YOU KNOW -
There are more than
32,736 people who live in Michigan who are blind?
An additional 83,402 more are visually impaired and
cannot read print even when wearing glasses.
Every person who cannot read deserves equal access to all forms of print information available to the general public.
The SIGHT SEER Radio broadcasting station brings print information to specially tuned radios meant for people who cannot read for themselves. It keeps them in touch with the rest of the world.
Sight Seer Radio is available to patients in major hospitals, people at home or in long term rehab facilities to hear local, state, national, and international newspapers and magazines.
We have two ways to hear our broadcasting. You can listen to us on the world wide web radio station by clicking on our logo at the top of any page on our site. The other way is by using one of our specially designed radios just for broadcasting the The SIGHT SEER Radio station and can be delivered directly to your home. If you are interested in one of our radios please contact Ruth VanProoyen at 616-235-0020 or email us at seer@thesightseer.org.*
